General Discussion / Re: Choosing a flattering palette without guessing

A few days ago I quietly cleared the clothes I never wear from my work wardrobe. I have porcelain skin, naturally blonde hair, and grey-blue eyes, so I expected the remaining pieces to work together fairly easily. Instead, anything close to camel makes me look slightly sallow, especially under the lights in our office. Colours such as gentle greys seem calmer, although I cannot tell whether that is a real pattern or simply preference. A recent photo in a muted teal scarf made the difference noticeable enough that I want a sensible method before replacing the basics. I keep wondering whether I am reacting to personal taste. To compare the suggestions, I used deep summer hair color as a clear comparison tool. Now I plan to compare the same two tops in daylight before choosing between a pink knit. I am trying to keep the experiment cheap, repeatable, and practical. Would you trust daylight photographs more than a mirror in this situation?
